About Bloom Cannabis
A family-founded company with a clear standard.
Bloom Cannabis was founded in 2014 by siblings Nicole Stark and William Hollander alongside their father Nate Hollander and family friend Peter Turco. We operate 7 dispensaries across Ohio and one in Germantown, Maryland, serving both medical patients and adult-use customers, and we've welcomed more than 350,000 people through our doors.
Every product, every interaction, and every location reflects our standard for Cannabis Done Right — quality products, honest information, and staff who treat every person walking in as the expert on their own needs.

What makes Bloom different
Built for patients and customers, not for hype.
We're not the biggest cannabis company, and we're not trying to be. We're focused on getting the basics right — product quality, clear information, and staff who actually know what they're talking about.
2014
Serving Ohio and Maryland since day one
We opened in Maryland in 2018 and Ohio in 2019 — among the earliest operators in both states. When the laws changed, we were already there.
350K+
Patients and customers served
Over 350,000 medical patients and adult-use customers have shopped with us. We've had a decade to learn what questions new customers ask and what longtime patients actually need.
8

Frequently asked questions
Questions people ask us.
Is Bloom Cannabis the same as Bloom Medicinals?
Yes — Bloom Cannabis is the rebranded name of Bloom Medicinals. Same team, same locations, same founders, same products. We updated the name to reflect that we now serve both medical patients and adult-use customers in Ohio and Maryland. You may also see older references to "Bloom Medical." It's all the same company
Do I need a medical card to shop at Bloom?
No. In both Ohio and Maryland, Bloom serves medical patients (with a valid state-issued card or recommendation) and adult-use customers (21+ with valid ID). Medical patients generally have access to different product limits, tax rates, and in some cases a priority line. Specific rules depend on your state.
What's the difference between medical and adult-use cannabis?
The products themselves are largely the same, but the rules around them differ. Medical patients typically get higher purchase limits, lower taxes, and access to certain products reserved for registered patients. Adult-use (recreational) customers buy the same types of products under different limits and tax structures. Our budtenders can walk you through what applies to you when you visit.
Where are Bloom dispensaries located?
We operate 7 dispensaries across Ohio (with an 8th opening soon) and one in Germantown, Maryland. Visit our Ohio locations page or Maryland location page for full addresses, hours, and directions.
What should I expect on my first dispensary visit?
Bring a valid ID (and your medical card if you have one). You'll check in at the front, then a budtender will walk you through the menu, ask about what you're looking for, and help you pick something that fits. First visits usually take 15–20 minutes. We wrote a full guide for first-time visitors — start here.
