We hope you shop with us. That's it. We don't certify patients, we take no commission from any physician or certification service, and there's nothing to buy on this page. If a card doesn't make financial sense for you, a rep will say so.
Will you ask about my medical condition?
No — not on the form and not on the phone. We're a dispensary, not a medical provider. Whether you qualify is between you and a certifying physician, and we have no reason to hold a record of your health information.
Do I need a card to shop at an Ohio dispensary?
No. Anyone 21 or older with a valid ID can buy adult-use products at any Bloom Cannabis store. A card is required only if you're 18 to 20, or if you want patient pricing and the larger state possession allowance.
How much does it cost?
The state charges $0 to register. The physician certification is the real cost — usually $100 to $200 depending on the provider, and it repeats annually at renewal. Veterans and patients with indigent status may qualify for reduced or waived state fees.
Can I do it all online?
Yes. Most certifying physicians in Ohio offer telehealth appointments, and the state registry is entirely online. You never need to visit a state office.
How long does it take?
Most patients are approved within a few days of the certification visit. Once the physician submits your recommendation, the state emails a link to activate your registry account.
Can I get a card at 18?
Yes. Ohio's patient registry is open to residents 18 and older with a qualifying condition. Adult-use purchases require you to be 21. Patients under 18 must have a registered caregiver.
What if mine already expired?
You lose patient pricing, the larger possession allowance, and — if you're under 21 — the ability to buy at all. Renewal needs a follow-up visit with a certifying physician. A rep can walk you through getting back on the registry.
Does Ohio accept out-of-state cards?
Ohio's registry is for Ohio residents. Visitors 21 and older can buy adult-use products with a valid government ID from any state.
